Medjugorje For All (A BLOG about Medugorje)

Not so long ago on June 24, 1981 in the tiny village of Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Mary (mother of Jesus)appeared to several young people. She continues her appearances to this day and has come as a gift from God to us. When I first read about this phenomenon, I was both fascinated and doubtful at the same time. Since then I have researched everything I could find about Medjugorje and have been privileged to travel there as a pilgrim.

Although I am a born again Protestant I have a great interest in what has been happening in Medjugorje. After several years of research on the apparitions, I am reaching out to others (people of all faiths and beliefs) who have the same interest. What appears on this blog are stories and articles, mostly borrowed and hopefully accurate, additional comments and thoughts from me about Medjugorje.

Protestants & Apparitions

Understandably people of any Protestant faith would find the whole story of the apparitions in Medjugorje (or Medugorje) very difficult to believe. Many of these faiths strictly adhere to the Bible, which is the very Word of God. Mary, a mere mortal, appearing to human beings on earth 2000 years after she had lived on the earth would probably be dismissed as something that is not from God. In fact, since the Catholic Church has not approved (or disapproved) of these apparitions officially, many devout Catholics have never heard of the apparitions.

Here is a thought:
If, throughout the Old Testament, God sent prophets to communicate with humans, why couldn't He send the one that He chose to be His Son's earthly mother? Can't God do anything, after all, He is GOD. Mary says that she is sent by the Father to ask us to turn to Jesus for salvation. Mary has also said that one doesn't have to be Catholic to be saved.

Any other thoughts out there? AGREE or DISAGREE?
